Give us one appointment,

and we'll give you a crown.

Here at SmileTime, we are proud to offer the CEREC, the latest in dental innovaton. The CEREC uses CAD/CAM technologies for all chairside restorative procedures, such as crowns, inlays, and outlays.

No temporaries and no need for a second visit!

With CAD/CAM technology, we can get rid of those lenghthy appointments with messy impressions and poorly fitted crowns. The CAD/CAM method is metal free and offers superior quality and durability in all its crowns. We also match tooth colors so that your new crowns not only feel natural, but look natural too.

What are the benefits of CAD/CAM crowns?

Traditionally, getting a new crown required two to three appointments. With CAD/CAM, we can have a new crown for you in just one visit. There are no temporaries and there is no messy impression material so your fit is more durable and precise than ever before.

How does CAD/CAM work?

  • Upon proper diagnosis of the damaged tooth, a harmless, tasteless powder is sprayed upon the surface area.
  • An optical impression is then made with the latest in 3d digital photography.
  • The computer uses the digital images to produce a 3d model based upon exact measurements.
  • Within a few minutes, the computer sends the information to our milling machine to produce a precise, custom-fitted cosmetic dental restoration.

The cosmetic dental restoration is then fitted and bonded in place. After we have reviewed your bite and fit, you're all set to go - all in one visit! Watch the video below for a more in-depth look.

What are CAD/CAM crowns, inlays, and onlays made of?

All cosmetic restorations are made of ceramic, an enamel-like material that mimics the natural look and feel of your real teeth.

Will insurance cover the procedure?

In most cases, if your dental insurance covers regular crowns and other restorations, it will cover CAD/CAM procedures as well. Our staff can assist you with any specific questions.
